In 2018, Air Canada flew a record 52.5 million passengers and linked together its world-spanning network of more than 215 communities on six continents.   Yet as well as being one of Canada's largest companies and a global champion, Air Canada is also a local champion.  With its head office in Montreal Air Canada is one of the largest private sector employers in the city and a key catalyst for the economies of Montreal and Quebec.   

In his remarks, Mr. Rovinescu will discuss the unprecedented expansion of Canada’s flag-carrier, especially in Montreal and how Air Canada has been winning in the highly competitive global airline industry.  He will address the importance of innovation, leadership, corporate responsibility and of a business-friendly regulatory environment for Canadian businesses to succeed in the international arena.
